Posted by a parent on 5/3/2024I have had 5 children go through Paw Paw and all of them have been Paw Paw Proud. Our exchange students have loved their experience and opportunities at Paw Paw as well. Especially the performing arts program. Not a lot of foreign schools have performing arts programs.
Posted by a parent on 3/11/2020It’s a terrible school. Bullying is out of control. The adults in the community fight with each other over the school mascot. They don’t care about anything else. Poor leadership...why didn’t the Superintendent stand up to these people and place the focus back on the students. I wouldn’t move here.

The lack of electives can be challenging, but there is a great music program for many students. Most teachers are about average, although there are couple outstanding ones and a number of underperformers. Physical bully

Coming from a small, 600 kids in grades K-12 I can appreciate how much more money the school has coming in and how they apply it to their schools. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFor Van Buren County, this is one of the better schools. Having said that, they have some of the issues that the other county schools do: generational families who use the district as custodial, and apathy to any work or achievement beyond the state-required grade level. If your child is above grade level, they will most likely not be challenged, and will be mostly ignored academically as the majority of students struggle to make their state mandated achievement levels. The administration changed this past year, and has worked towards better procedures, but they are not even close to addressing the gap between the majority of students at or below level and the small minority above. They did not address these issues on a school wide level, and continue to teach to the middle. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool has no due process and targets children with disabilities. My children used to love school but dread having to go now. The principal is non responsive as well and pushed issues off onto the Social worker with absolutely no follow up. My son also had an ice chunk thrown at his face but due to lack of supervision went all day with a huge bruise on his cheek and concussion without me being contacted at all. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTrinity Lutheran school is very reflective. They are always asking parents for input to make their school better! They have upgraded their facilities and have one to one technology in their upper grades! They have small class sizes and offer evidence based curriculum! My child has grown so much at Trinity! Their religion class is engaging and relevant. Students are able to develop their faith in new and exciting ways! We are so blessed to be apart of the Trinity Family!
