Posted by a community member on 9/20/2023My daughter had wonderful experience with some teachers, but not all. Her math teacher was really bad, not in terms of personality, just does not know how to teach. This may only apply to one particular math teacher but unfortunately it was the one that my daughter had. My daughter struggled so much
Posted by a parent on 6/7/2020I don't know how the student-teacher ratio is calculated here as 16:1. My son has 28 students in his class and student numbers in other classes are similar, usually close to 30 students per home room teacher.
Posted by a parent on 7/25/2019My child's teachers at Kinawa are fantastic! I love how they challenge her to learn extra yet don't have her feeling overwhelmed. She is genuinely excited to learn and share with me what she did in school each day. The students are typical middle school students so there are a couple not so nice one

The staff is caring and communicative, and the school culture is energetic and positive. Yes, the academics are incredible, but we put the most value in our daughter's love for her teacher and friends. Our kid has a pleasant time in Tutor Time; the first few days of her attendance, she got nice/lovely attention from her teachers (Ms. Jada and Mr. Alex) to cope with her new environment. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a former student at this school (I am a girl, and was the only girl in my class) I went to this school in 5-6th grade, the teachers were nice. However, the people (the boys) in my class constantly belittled me for no reason at all. Most times they got away with it with a "warning". I became friends with people in a grade above me, and that helped a LOT. The education was really good, and I learned a lot there. I would recommend this school, because overall it is a great school, but my experience was not very good with some of the students there. Hope this helps.Other Review3y ago
