Posted by a parent on 7/9/2019My daughter has attending this school for 2 years as a result her grade have drastically declined. I requested to spend a day with her and was told that my request had to be approved by the principal. I left several messages with no return phone call. On my 3rd call I was told by the secretary that at the middle school age parents are not allowed to spend the day observing. What school does not want parental involvement. My child has shown me several videos of unsupervised classroom time and pure chaos in the classroom. I would not recommend this school to anyone

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can't say enough great things about Key Elementary school. We moved here from Florida about 3 years ago where my kids attended a private school. I was worried about if my kids would thrive at a new school, 1,000 miles from home! Well, they are thriving and they love their school. Their grades are great and their teachers are excellent. I can't say enough great things about the administration, Ms. Shana Murphy is an excellent principal who takes the time to know all her students (by name) and their parents! They have many meetings and events where parents can get involved. Great school!!Parent Review9mo ago - Einstein Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey don’t have enough resources for children who are in need of special education classes and children with special needs in general. The psychologist was only there one day of the week and some days she was there she didn’t always get to see the children. You can’t walk your child to class or do drop-ins to check on your child. There are not enough activities for the kids to participate in.Parent Review1y ago - Pepper Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has low rates on everything .The children are below level. The majority of workers seem like they are not qualified. Seem like they need to do background checks on the volunteers . The children that need 504 plan or special education seem like the school does not want to help them..Parent Review2y ago - De Ror Montessori Center

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had a bad experience at this school. i said it was bad because the teachers at this school didn't teach us right, and when students would ask for help the teachers would ignore them. I honestly never asked for help but when some people would ask to go to the restroom the teachers wouldn't allow them to go and would tell them to wait until we left. Parents were not pleased with the way this school was set and the was the teachers behaved. The students there where mischievous and didn't listen. The school was messed up and not taken care of. Windows where broken, bathroom stall doors missing, classroom doors where broken, there wasn't an actual gym or any sport classes. To top all of this off there was always wild life animals in the back of the school. For example there where deer's,bears, snakes, etc. The police where up to this school multiple times because of how students acted and this school was just unsafe and unhealthy. School served lunches where always cold and sometimes they would serve old or molded food to the students. I feel as if that all staff where acting this way was because they were getting paid 34,421 dollars. Because of this i feel that they didn't care about how the students where learning nor did they care about the students health. There was also no heat and there was a lot of fighting. The inside of the school was infected because there was a dead rat in the middle of three vents in the classrooms. There was a lot of bugs and there was a strong odor that wasn't every health to inhale. I highly recommend for not one parent to send there kids to a school like this unless you want your child coming home sick almost everyday or you want them to get hurt.Parent Review3y ago - Oak Park Service Learning Academy Opsla
