Read what parents are saying about Thornton Creek Elementary SchoolOur experience at Thornton Creek has been wonderful for our neurotypical child and and absolute nightmare for our neurodivergent child. Our oldest suffers from OCD and anxiety and this school has made her condition worse at every turn. They completely ignore bullying and regularly blame victims when they choose to come forward. Students are taught by the faculty which kids will be easy to pick on and those kids are targeted relentlessly. I strongly regret not pulling my child at the first sign of an issue.
Posted by a parent on 10/20/2021We have been at thorton Creek for three years, we have truly enjoyed our experience at the school. The interactions with teachers have always been very positive, with daily communication and weekly emails and pictures. I really like their approach to kindness and the “Leader in me” program. I have really enjoyed watching our girls thrive as young leaders while at Thornton Creek.
Posted by a parent on 4/18/2019My youngest is currently a student at Thornton Creek. This is my third child to attend Thornton Creek. The school community as a whole works well together: the principal, teachers and parents. The school has a strong PTA and involved parents who support the teachers. I have been very happy and pleased with all the teachers my children have had. The leadership is strong and i think it shows in the whole cohesiveness of the school. I feel very fortunate that my child attends such a great school.
Posted by a parent on 3/5/2017Disinterested staff, very impersonal and judgemental. Truly lacking any form of arts or anything outside of text books. Teachers and staff have no line of communication with parents and are wholly uninterested in allowing one to be established. A real and true disappointment.
Posted by a parent on 1/2/2016Great school. Very good teachers who are very interested in every student's progress and work with parents to ensure continuity of education at home as well. Support staff is very courteous and most of the time have all the answers to questions for the parents of new students. Principal is accessible and sends out of regular communique to parents. Very happy with my child's overall progress in school.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are good, their sports programs are good, and the facility is fine... except the locker room is nasty. This is a very good school, except the school culture in this school is really bad. There is an obsession among students in achieving high grades and taking the hardest classes possible. This causes many students to be under constant stress, but the teachers know about this, and are very understanding. Another thing is that this school seems to acknowledge that and hosts mental health stuff, but overall, it's very useless and a waste of time. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery disappointed in this school. Old authoritarian school environment. Not a supportive environment at all. I have spent thousands of dollars on outside help recommended by this school to support my son, so they will "assist" him. They are doing nothing to help him. They won't even honor their own Accommodation Plan they wrote. I can't even get a response to an email from their "Resource" teacher or administration. Teachers are sporadic in their communication and fearful of administration. Not a healthy environment at all!
