Staff is wonderful, love the teachers. Some students can be distracting which make it difficult for others to learn. Lack of staff in certain areas as well.

The Lady in the front office is so disrespectful yes I feel like she was judging me she was very rude ! Very sassy ! Seem like she didn’t want to come into work today I had to come leave an review because it’s just sitting on my mind because I do so much as an good person I donate to Oakview elementary, I help with certain stuff we do not need anyone like that sitting in front office !!!!!!!

It was my experience that the $$ talks at this school. Coming from a long legacy of Catholic School educators and parents, this school can barely call itself Catholic let alone Christian or any kind. The amount of bullying and undercutting that goes on at this school is disgraceful, and the daily attempts at implementing PBIS were pathetic. At this school if your family has money you can do or say just about anything. If you do not, it doesn’t matter how smart or talented you are, you will be ignored. Sad and unacceptable.

St. Michael School was closed several years ago; all students transferred to St. Francis de Sales Elementary School. In the fall of 2012, St. Francis closed and all students transferred to the Muskegon Catholic High School building, making the facility K-12.

This school has the potential to be a “best the odds” school. Wonderful, diverse staff, many of whom live in the community. However, there is a problem at the top. The leader uses manipulation and fear tactics to lead. She is unkind and pits her staff against one another. She has been known to publicly humiliate staff members. She expects the works of teachers and staff with very little support. In an area that really needs good options for education, this school is not the best choice.
