Lansing Chr Secondary School

I’ve had a very terrible experience at this school. Was treated very unfairly and feelings were disregarded. So happy this is my child’s last yr here. And legal action would be taken

I was once a student at Lyons Elementary, and now I have children attending the school. Unfortunately, the environment does not feel the same as it once did.I’ve noticed what seems to be a very passive approach from the current principal, Ms. Arocha, when it comes to addressing concerns such as bullying and staff conduct. There have also been ongoing issues with certain non-teaching staff overstepping their roles, concerns about inappropriate behavior on school grounds, and situations involving parking and crossing guard enforcement that feel excessive and unprofessional.As a parent and former student, I simply want to see the school provide a safer, more structured, and more supportive environment for the children and families in the community

We started off with just preschool in mind but fell in love with the school and our school family that we have been here for 4 years!

Lansing Christian School WAS an exceptional place — filled with dedicated teachers, skilled staff and administrators, and a culture that genuinely sought partnership with families through openness, humility, and trust. Unfortunately, that LCS no longer appears to exist.In the course of a single month (April 2026), roughly 45 teachers and staff members — nearly 80% — have either been forced out or have decided it is better to leave than stick around to see what havoc the current administration and board chair create next. In addition, more than 230 students have reportedly been withdrawn by families who no longer have confidence in the direction of the school.If you are considering enrolling in Lansing Christian, it is reasonable to ask:- How and why did this level of staff and student loss occur?- Why was it necessary to tear apart this thriving Christian community and what goals did that achieve?- In what ways has this process reflected the Christian values LCS claims to uphold?Of course, they'll try to spin it as getting rid of people who were not "mission-aligned" or upholding "biblical truth." The mission and the pursuit of biblical truth were doing great for the last 75 years until the current leadership took over. In addition, the hiring practices have become exceedingly questionable. When you have this many staff and teachers leave, you have to lower standards to attract new employees. And along the way, personal favors appear like they are becoming the new norm. Examples of this include changing qualifications for positions to no longer include education and experience, but rather, "passion" for a given topic. That ought to raise some red flags.
