My son just finished 1st grade. His kindergarten teacher was amazing!!! (Lanenga) I can not say the same for his 1st grade teacher, from the start of the year he was below where he should have been for reading, but not low enough to get help. So we struggled all year with that and he ended below...yet she didn't feel he should repeat 1st. Also his classroom had NO chairs all year long. The kids sat on the floor. Tell me how sanitary that is especially in the winter. He had bruises on the tops of his feet by Dec. We are now looking into Charter schools
