Marcus Garvey Academy is an excellent school the Principle Mr.Hearns is a excellent principle.. I have a child at Marcus Garvey and since he been attending his reading level has improved.. the staff is excellent and so are the other parents.

The children are literally going to school “playing around”. The children are performing below average in reading and math because the school is NOT providing a real academic plan. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNichols is a great school. I have had experiences with many of the teachers in the school, and they all care about the students. One teacher called it her "ministry". There is a new PACSA board that is working to fulfill the needs of students and parents. The principal is community driven and often goes door-to-door to encourage parents to get involved with their student's education.
