Oakley W. Best Middle School

as a current student here my experience is the teachers and staff are excited to help students learn its a welcoming environment many elective classes your child could do and lots of school activities I would definitely recommend this school!

It was terrible, worst experience i’ve ever had. I have nothing against the teachers but the principal did not do his job correctly at all, in my opinion. The councilors were very rude and if you didn’t give them the reply they were seeking for they would give you a rude, stuck up attitude. The security guards would let certain kids get away with skipping class and not behaving, but if a student they don’t interact with skipped class or something the security guard would report them also the security guard would try to get kids in trouble and many others notice that. for example, the security guards would over exaggerate the story to make you seem worse then what really happened, and they would let certain kids get away with breaking school rules. From what I have heard nothing has improved about the school and staff (not surprised)

I love O.W Best it has the best teacher and students. They treat everyone equal and aren't rude. If your looking for a school to take your kid you should look into O.W best middle school.

So far so good..I have a 6th grader here. No problems so far. But its still September..hopefully it stays this way.

This is a letter of concern to parents who have a child that attends O.W. BEST middle school in Dearborn hts. MI. I have found out that my daughter was told to LIE about her age to create SOCIAL MEDIA accounts on the internet at the school, my daughter is not the only student that I know of who was told by a TEACHER to do so as well. I have been to the board of education and have brought this matter to the principal. It seems that this is not being looked into at all, and is a very big SAFETY ISSUE when it comes to exposing our children to SOCIAL MEDIA. These sites you are suppose to be at least 13 years old, and are being told to say there much older. One of the sites did have EXPLICIT IMAGES on it, and to was shown to the principal as well. I think parents should know about this matter involving your children and their SAFETY. Thank you for reading and hopefully this will get the message out........ PLEASE FORWARD
