Read what parents are saying about James R Geisler Middle SchoolThis school is one of the best school my child has been to. It teaches so much stuff with only 6 hours. The 2 encore classes that you can choose from are PE orchestra band art and etc. If you want a good middle school for your child and you are in the walled lake school district or area then James R. Geisler Middle School is just the right one for you.

Posted by a parent on 2/10/2020I go to this school and I'd like to state that if you want a school that interacts with your child, then come to this school. A big compliment on Mrs. Haver, she does all she can to make sure you understand what you are learning. I had Mrs. McDonald, she is just like Mrs. Haver, she is a great teacher. The principle is nice, nicer than any other one I have had! (that's REALLY nice!) I recommend this school to people who need the teachers to help their child in any way possible.
Posted by a community member on 10/4/2014Interactive, considerate, willing to communicate with parents, attentive, supportive, educational. A place i am happy to send my child. Great teachers. I do wish some of the teachers would be more interactive on their websites but i know they are overloaded so i cut them some slack. The school improves with every year my daughter has been there.
Posted by a parent on 4/2/2014i was 7th grade and this was my first year at GMS and it was a fun year i played soccer and it was fun the food is great. the teachers make you feel welcome and they help you so much that when you are done with the lesson you well know every thing in the chapter your in. the school is so big that you have to ask teachers where your class is. the school is right next to walled lake western so your kid will look forward to going to high school. your kid can take french or spansh so that is a good thing and you shoud bring your kid to this schoolnand he or her will like it.

My daughter was not only reading, writing, and understanding complex mathematics at 4 years old she was also partaking in science experiments and learning about contenients and much more. I am so sorry that you feel this way, I have been teaching there for 9 years and I cant believe what I'm reading about the school. There are montessori certified teachers in every room we might not be perfect but we all are very nurturing, caring and loving to all the children no matter who they are and as for treating children different, all the children are treated the same, there are no children that are friends of teachers. I don't mean to sound rude I'm just stating facts. If you had a problem with a certain classroom or teacher you can go to another teacher as myself and we would observe and discuss this with the director and try to fix any problem without saying who made the complaint. As for being strict with the kids and not talking, that's not true we encourage the children to communicate to each other and to staff, that is part of our social development. As for arrogant staff I would love to know who that was. I'm so very sorry you had a bad experience with us. Everyone might not agree with either one of these reviews.
