Run away!!! Don’t be fooled by “our student are one level advanced than public school”. “Make sure everything is written as no verbal communication as they will promise things and not deliver it. I am talking about personal horrible experiences. New management is always ready with excuses.
Posted by a community member on 10/17/2025Every school comes with its Pros n Cons. I think Crescent is continuously improving through the years despite its Ups n Downs. I’m a parent since 10 yrs , and I’m proud to send all my kids to this school. Wishing the best for the school.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy oldest is in second grade and has been a student here in early education, to young fives and through second grade now. We absolutely love this school. We live on the other side of Westland and have done school of choice because of how great the staff is. Every teacher we have had has made a large impact on my children's lives and they enjoy school. Mrs. Shepard, the principal could probably name 90% of the students by name. She is very hands on and cares about all of the kids. We had one child who completed her education at a neighboring district and so I was unprepared for how amazing Bentley would end up being. I didn't know you could have staff And administrators who actually cared so much. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe’ve had a truly wonderful experience at Schoolhouse Montessori of Canton. Our oldest started in June 2023, and our second child joined in January 2024. As we prepare to move to another state, we’re incredibly sad to leave, this school has been such a meaningful part of our family’s journey.The teachers and staff are exceptional, warm, loving, and highly prepared. Their dedication, along with the outstanding education based on the Maria Montessori method, has made a remarkable impact on both of our kids. It’s been amazing to see how much they’ve achieved at such a young age, both academically and emotionally. Their development has been truly impressive.The extra classes like music, gymnastics, and Spanish have been such a great addition to their daily learning. And the after-school extracurriculars like piano and sports have given our kids even more opportunities to grow, explore, and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment.We are so grateful for the nurturing atmosphere, the thoughtful structure, and the love and care our kids received each day. Thank you to everyone at Schoolhouse Montessori of Canton for giving our children such a strong, joyful, and enriching start in life.
