Read what parents are saying about Beverly Hills AcademyThe staff is very caring and diligent in working with each student on their own level-this includes all subjects-even Islamic and Arabic.Overall, students are happy and feel accomplished because of this. The school is actively working to enhance services. There has been additional trainings for staff on restorative practices, phonics training, etc. There was a safety concern brought forth by parents after the situation in Palestine erupted. This was taken seriously by the school, which had an evaluation and has added additional cameras as one additional safety measures. This year, small group skills counseling sessions is also taking place for identified students. Feedback from families, staff, and students has been used in order to make improvements over the last few years.Staff really tries to work with students when there are issues, rather than suspending. The best interest of each child is taken into consideration and all efforts are made by staff to help improve any situation that may arise. There are lots of events and activities that the school has as well. The diversity of the school is a strength.
Posted by a parent on 3/15/2024This school is very bad. The teachers are very rude, and are bullying the children and threatening them with cameras enforced by the principal, who is very rude and wastes money on genocide supporting companies and cameras instead of fixing the stuff that is bad in the school. Many unqualified teachers that don’t know how to teach are joining the school, which is causing many students to leave. I don’t recommend this school at all, take your kids somewhere else.
Posted by a student on 11/26/2023Only focused on tuition not effective in character building. All busy work. Definitely money centric business vs student centric.
Posted by a parent on 9/16/2021Our experience has been excellent with a caring and qualified teaching and administrative staff. They care about all their students at all the levels, and have a progressive focus on modernization of education both in terms of quality and environment.
Posted by a parent on 11/26/2020To be sure, Montessori is not appropriate for every child, nor is College Prep appropriate for every child. If your pre-Middle School child is inquisitive, loves to learn, and follows rules relatively well, they will thrive in the Montessori environment. I highly recommend you avoid Montessori if your child is entering 3rd grade or higher and this would be their first experience with this type of learning environment, unless you and they are extremely dissatisfied with the traditional environment and you're ready to try just about anything! This school only has Montessori to 5th grade. Their middle school is college prep, and it's a suffocating environment. Creativity and individuality is stifled on a daily basis and are sacrificed at the alter of a demanding though bland curriculum. This is a curriculum driven middle school, as opposed to a learning driven learning environment. My child was told on a daily basis that she couldn't ask questions because they had to get through the lesson or they would fall behind. It appeared as though the teachers were afraid of what might happen if they gave the students even an inch of freedom. The students often don't get gym or outdoor recess, so they rarely have an opportunity to breath away from the watchful eyes of the teachers (and, oh how they watch)! The teachers run an extremely tight ship, which works for high-achieving students who want to be told what to do and how to do it in order to get the 'A', but for more sensitive students who aren't interested in the grade per se, this is a stifling, dull, and generally uninteresting and bland learning environment.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Beverly Elementary school and parent and family community create a supportive and taylored learning environment for all types of students. I have 3 kids all with different learning styles and teachers don't miss a neat keeping them engaged. The parent involvement is huge. Teachers are passionate, caring and approachable. There is a real sense of old school community feel that I am grateful for. I wish this type of learning environment was available to every family.Other Review7y ago - Wylie E. Groves High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school. There are so many options for the students. With a wide range of great academic courses to extracurricular activities there seems to be something for everyone. Also there are so many opportunities to be involved for the parents. It really is a great atmosphere. I have a child there now and another going to be attending in a few years.Parent Review4mo ago - Bingham Farms Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe community at Bingham Farms is amazing and we have felt so supported by the staff there in our move to Michigan, and in managing the needs of our anxious child. Since the other reviews are quite old, it’s worth mentioning that the previous principal left in 2019, and the current principal is nothing short of remarkable.Parent Review2y ago - St. Regis Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have sent my children to Saint Regis since 2016 and I couldn’t be happier with the environment that the staff at Saint Regis have created. They work very hard to develop our children and build relationships with the families. I looked at all of the private schools in the area and am very happy with my decision.Parent Review3mo ago - Detroit Country Day Middle School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey advertise 8:1 student class size for lower school students, especially for pre-k and kindergarten and 1st grade. Not true. More like 16-1. There is no support for kids and emotional wellbeing as advertised. You would think for 30k+ a year for 16 kids they could add class coaching for smaller kids. Not as advertised, not as hyped.Parent Review2mo ago - Yeshivas Darchei Torah
