I have had a great experience with my daughter. She has grown so much here! She is learning Arabic and we don’t speak the language at home. The teachers are very rude, and are bullying the children and threatening them with cameras enforced by the principal, who is very rude and wastes money on genocide supporting companies and cameras instead of fixing the stuff that is bad in the school. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are caring and wonderful. The education is great if your child wants to learn and pays attention. Sadly the parents are very clicky, any great review is because they are part of it. There are ways to reach that status but its never enough if they don't want you in their circle. It’s true parents talk about the kids and their parent which in turn makes the child unpopular. The assistant principle has tried to bring the kids together and has tried to make the disruptive kids accountable, but the parents (the special families) are outraged instead of working with the school and educate the kids to be respectful to adults and their peers. They cannot and will not accept any wrong doing. It is disheartening! New kids don't usually come back after their first year. Its not about not living in the area, we live in Quarton Estates,Birmingham and donate generously. Many of these horrible parents are my neighbors and have never ever included my child for anything to help her fit in. At school parents that volunteer care for their own first and then the others. If you say anything or call them out, they will shun you, and they make it worse. Most of them will go to Marian, good luck, these girls are viciously mean. Its a strong community, a community of bullies. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePreviously I had thought highly of Country Day primarily due to its reputation for high academics. After an encounter with one of the schools sports teams in which much of the team’s actions showed extremely poor sportsmanship, I no longer hold Country Day in high regard.
