Bonny Eagle High School

This school is horrible for kids who are in any way out of the ordinary. If your learning style is different, this school will not help you. If you are special ed, you will be bullied. If you don’t look typical, you will be bullied. If you are not involved in sports, you will be bullied. It’s simply not a safe environment for students who don’t meet specific “standards.” I had three children in the system, and they all suffered greatly. Avoid if you have a choice.

School is okay at best. The fact they had to shut down because too many people got sick. Yet told me I was being too worried about covid is rich. They fail to work with people with medical problems during this pandemic. The teachers are fine and underpaid but not worth it with all the fights and just overall bad aspects of the school

I have 2 children attending the high school. We have attended many different school districts due to the military, but so far this one has been the best. My son is a special education student and I have never seen such progress in all his years of schooling. They know what he needs and how to meet those needs. My daughter is harder and caught up in the drama at school, but the admin team was always willing to work with me to get her set on the right path.

Teachers for the most part our great but there are some issues with the favoritism

I'm a sophomore here now, and I'm still loving it. A few people have described Bonny Eagle as "the worst school in maine", which I couldn't disagree with more. While it isn't a perfect school, it is in no way inadequate or bad. There's a wide variety of honors and AP classes, as well as plenty of fun and useful elective classes. True, a lot of money is put towards the football team, but there is also funding towards other activities. As for the arts program, it's amazing. The band and theatre programs are fantastic. Our administration has improved greatly as well. All the students get along with them, and they really make an effort to get to know the students on a personal level and connect with them to better help them with their education. Over all, Bonny Eagle High School is an amazing school, and I'm very proud to be a student here.
