Mt Jefferson Jr High School

Its systematically a bad school. They are also the public school provider for the local community. The force the public school kids to walk to a different public school to eat lunch, while boarding students eat lunch at school. Their are no opportunities for tutoring or extra help. At least that's been my experience. They do not have good communication with parents. As a parent you will not be aware of any PSAT, SAT, or any other testing ahead of time to encourage your student to prepare. They only email students. If you have an academic concern, they will push that responsibility back on parents and not work with you to problem solve and help your student grow academically. They do not return admissions phone calls or look at their application portal. Its a school that systematically segregates students, and curses their community with low expectations. I feel like I failed my child by enrolling them here and I'm currently working to remove them. I wish they would do better.
