Linton Springs Elementary School

A parent wrote the school to let them know that their kid's bus was overcrowded and some kids were having trouble finding seats. So the principal got on the bus the next day to yell at the bus riders and threaten the whole bus with lunch detention if anyone was caught standing on the bus. I'm disappointed but not surprised that the situation was handled this way.

I myself am a product of Carroll County Public Schools and did not go in with the highest of expectations, but this school has certainly exceeded them. All the teachers we have had so far have been superb with weekly communications and very responsive to emails. On one occasion, we had a teacher reach out to us about our child's emotional wellbeing and wanted to know how she could support in the classroom. This actually helped us tremendously. So far, I've found the teachers to not only be talented in teaching the necessary grade level content, but also supportive in developing confidence, teamwork and creating a welcoming, safe learning environment, where kids can thrive. There are lots of family engagement events throughout the year that help bring parents, teachers and students together, which really fosters an environment where parents can be a bigger part of their child's education. Overall, the level of parent participation in their children's education is high at this school. The PTA has lots of active parent members and sponsors a number of successful fundraisers, which greatly benefits the school and provides a lot of resources and teacher support. It all reflects in how well many of the students perform. I am so thankful for those who participate to help improve the education of the children and for making learning fun.

Amazing school with lots of kids entertainments.We have two kids in this school and we are 100% satisfied. Both teachers are keeping us updated with everyday emails and notes.We strongly encourage young families to move in the area.

Great school, great teachers who give their all to the kids!

I am thankful that this was my child first and last year at this school. One of the teachers really gave my child a hard way to go and she was very rude to us when we would ask for assistance or even ask a general question. I hope that she gets the break that she needs soon, I felt like she should just retire!
