Read what parents are saying about Rising Sun High School

All I would like to say is if you are a person of any color besides White, please do not attend this school. To any parent of color, please do not make your child come to this school ESPECIALLY if you are a color of black. The racism is the only thing Rising Sun High School is known for.

Love the school and the kids. Very supportive staff.

I’d never take a kid here. The teachers and admin are almost worse than the students when it comes to ableism, racism & homophobia. Bullying of disabled kids was not only allowed but encouraged

As a parent I would like to be involved in my students education but this school, its students, and its administration make me want to have as little to do with it as possible.

Absolutely terrible. The teachers and all staff treat students poorly.

This is supposed to be the top notch school of Cecil County however I moved here to the district 4 years ago. I have been sorely disappointed in the lack of enthusiasm these teachers have for teaching. My child is always told to just ask your parents if she doesn’t understand. The principal Elsie Harrigan hates the students and never ever is pleasant to anyone!
