Read what parents are saying about Village Montessori SchoolNegative people, super judgemental with zero threshold! Please don't send your kids to this school.
Posted by a parent on 3/31/2024My son is a curious boy who loves to be on the move, if your child likes to move around a lot this is not the place for them. This facility runs very military style and has no patience for outsiders that do not follow their rules on day one. Good luck.
Posted by a parent on 1/27/2023-a parent- My son has been in Village Montessori School for a year now and I couldn't imagine him going anywhere else!!! Truly an incredible place for your child to be at!. I have found VMS to be very welcoming, structured with loving and caring environment. I have seen a tremendous growth in my son after just one year and am impressed by the strong academic program there. My son is being nurtured and challenged and is extremely excited to be going there each and every morning. He has learned so much more than I even expected he will. All teachers are wonderful, professional and passionate about their job at VMS.This is definitely much more than just a daycare. Ms.Sally Robinson, the director, is doing an incredible job managing and making sure the facility is well maintained, organized and always very clean and inviting. My sons favorite teacher -Ms Pari cares deeply for each child with love. She's been amazing in providing everything i wanted for my son. The educational experience has truly been phenomenal and this school is completely worth every penny spent . I HIGHLY recommend Village Montessori School. Best school in the area!!!!!!!!!! A++++++
Posted by a parent on 4/14/2016I have two children (2 and 4) currently at the school. I needed to find someplace that supported them academically, but where they could have fun as well. My eldest transferred to this school last year after a horrible experience with a different (and very expensive) Montessori school. Mid-semester, I knew I had to find a better school and we both visited several schools - this was the one *he* (my son) picked himself. When he started, the staff here was terrific and gave him lots of support. My 2 started this year - he's smart but not always the best behaved - the staff has been kind and works with him. I've seen great leaps occur with both kids; both academically and maturity. Both children just seem really happy here. Yesterday my 4 wanted to stay at school for "rug tag". He's enrolled in piano, dance, and soccer (the three extra curriculars offered for an extra fee). The teacher(s) are working with him on advanced material in class. Personal note: RE: Comments posted about administration - the administration changed in 2013 - a VMS teacher now runs it. RE: the education comments posted - as a parent - no clue what they are talking about - maybe that happened in 2010?
Posted by a parent on 1/30/2014After moving here from the Philadelphia area, we knew we wanted to keep our daughter in a Montessori school. VMS did not disappoint - we found the teachers and curriculum to be excellent, warm and welcoming. Our daughter thrived there and is now exceling in 1st grade in public school. I myself am a graduate of Montessori and can attest to the strong foundation that this type of education provides. Once shy, our daughter is now confident, outgoing and loves to learn. A Montessori education and VMS are a large contributor to this. We have a new baby now that we will undoubtedly be sending to VMS as well. Thank you, VMS!!

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school from Kindergarten to 2nd, And I would have to say my experience was not great. I would often hear kids doing disrespectful things to teacher and not being disciplined, I would also get bullied and ignored myself. the teachers here were biased to some students who were more white or light skinned, it made a lot of us feel left out. The school did events where you could participate in. I'm glad that I moved away from that school and no longer a student.Other Review10mo ago - Whetstone Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children at Whetstone Elementary and have been impressed with services and level of attention provided to both of my children. The teachers are very much engaged and maintain register contact with my husband and I. One of my children is special-needs and requires special education, we have experienced nothing but outstanding support from from everyone that we have come in contact with.Parent Review1y ago - Flower Hill Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has attended Strawberry Knoll from Kindergarten and is now graduating from 5th grade. All of the teachers my son has had have been wonderful and they care. Before the Pandemic and throughout they have always gone above and beyond. The school is diverse, the Principal Mr. Scott is great and gets to know the students individually. They have a lot of events and activities to include the family. I am very happy with the education my son received at Strawberry Knoll. If your child is shy or has challenges, they will find the "Knoll" to be a safe inclusive environment. I can't say enough about Strawberry Knoll.Parent Review1y ago
