4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat community, and the teachers administrators and counselors are unbelievably involved. They use up to date teaching methods. (I can tell, because none of them existed when I was in school.) I wish recess were a lot longer, but I guess that's a county-wide problem.Parent Review2y ago20 Reviews - Carrollton Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers and staff are human beings. Wonderful people who do their best! Some of the children need extra help, thus the school is making up for that. While the parents are working and taking care of the family.Parent Review6y ago4 Reviews - Gaywood Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is autistic and just had his 1st year here. He is going into 1st grade. He did PK3 & PK4 at 2 other schools before this. In PK3 he was in a special ed class. In PK4 he was in an inclusive classroom, but it wasn't well resourced. Now that he's at Lamont, he has teachers who love him, resources from the school, parents who show up for events & support when things need to get done. He has an IEP and at his meeting there were so many staff there for support, it felt like they actually cared about our child, which isn't what we've experienced st the other schools. I'm happy my other son will be starting here this year. Pleasant surprise!Parent Review9mo ago2 Reviews - Magnolia Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMagnolia used to be a great school. But unfortunately they have succeeded in creating confusion in my son's head, affecting his self-confidence. Some of the teachers seem to have no idea of pedagogy.Other Review5y ago9 Reviews - Seabrook Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat a fantastic school. The teachers, principal, and everyone else in the building absolutely give everything they have to these kids. There is a "parent support group" in lieu of a PTA and parents are very involved in the school. I initially hesitated to send my child here but now that seems so silly as my daughter is learning so much and loves the school.Parent Review7y ago4 Reviews - Robert Goddard Montessori

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children learned a lot from their early education teachers. This school does not welcome/embrace families!!! Many teachers are not montessori certified, are unprofessional. lack care for their students and have poor classroom control. Teachers/Staff support themselves. Some teachers are rude to students. The school building is shared with another school on campus so RGS are forced to share their space. The principal hand picks her staff. Children and parents are not taken seriously. There is a very strong sense of control once parents/families step into their school. Yet, their child attends the school! Sadly, this school is NOT what it is all hipped up to be. This is a way for the county to show they are providing equal education to all under an umbrella who is truly disfuncional. The PTA is involved and do their best for the students. If parents or staff try to speak up there seems to be a bullying type of action taken against those who report unfairness, complaints and/or concerns.Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews
