My child had too many Awful experiences at this school. I had to get my child transferred. The administration is weak and let's the students do whatever they want.

Posted by a teacher on 3/11/2014Hostile environment, kids get away with walking out of class, cursing at teachers, tearing up school property. Admin will yell at staff in front of students. Huge turnover rate.

We have a great band that’s been going strong for years, and this is coming from someone that is in it. Amazing clubs and sports teams. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWolfe Street Academy has been an excellent experience for our two children in 2016/17. Mr Gaither's active and hands-on leadership is very inspiring to students & parents alike. Ms Gross (3rd) & Ms Bucke (3rd) are amazing teachers who keep tabs on student's academic progress & wholesome development. The admin & support staff are welcoming and always helpful. There is an excellent (free) after school program. The kids are well behaved & friendly.The school does not have dedicated sports facilities but Mr Mavis makes good use of the multi-use hall for indoor sessions and the nearby Patterson Park is used for outdoor sports.It is unfortunate the hard-work of this great team is not reflected in the Test Scores due to the demographics of Fells Point, many of the students are from families that do not speak English as a first language.Parent Review7y ago - Lakewood Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDiscrimination at it's worst; I had the highest of expectations when I entered the lottery for my neighborhood school; My son is special needs and had the worst experience one could imagine at PPPCS. He was excluded from recess, field trips and suspended many times because of his disability. My son has autism and the school was not equipped to handle his needs. If I had known this I would have never entered the lottery. Reading all the reviews and speaking to other parent's, I never imagined such a bias would exist for children with special needs, but it does. If your child is not "perfect" he/she will not do well at PPPCS, that was our experience, very sad.
