Fighting bad kids but good school overall
Posted by a community member on 7/27/2024My daughter just started 6th grade and was physically assaulted the very first week. This school needs to be shut down. No one notified me about the situation instead I received a call from my daughter who was able to get out of the classroom. Left unattended for over 20 minutes and no one even came
Posted by a parent on 9/17/2018Love it. Especially coming from Ashburton last year. Thus is our 2nd year in Baltimore City Public schools and I have faith we will be okay. I wasn't so sure last year, but have no worries. My son will graduate from Calverton this year and attend City. He's salutatorian this year!!!!
Posted by a parent on 5/22/2017This is a great school. Prior posts seem to be about an angry parent who is using this to vent. Poor taste and professionalism in my book. My son is in Middle School and is learning a ton. He is taking Algebra 1 in 7th grade, is writing research papers, and is well ahead of those in public schools.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI absolutely love this school! I hate the fact that it only goes to the 2nd grade. This was not a good decision Baltimore City Board of Education. Principal Dendinger, is the best he always response to emails he even called me late at night due to a concern I had with my son. My son has been going there since Pre-K. I have a special needs child and their Special Educations teachers are amazing. All of the staff are amazing and they truly love these kids. My child receive services through the school such as PT, OT, SLP they are amazing with there feedback and resources. Also, they really showcase these kids talents during Christmas and Black History performances. It’s a small school but it’s amazing school and I really wish it went to at least the 5th grade. They also have the Judy Center for babies to 5 years old. And then they have the community closet for clothes, I was able to give away my son’s old school uniforms and other clothes.
