Some teachers really care, others are nasty and rude. This school hires teachers who are not practicing the Catholic faith. They are not approachable or welcoming to parents that want to be involved in their children's education.

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two children who attend Hampton Elementary and I think it is a fine school. Mr. Conway is an excellent principal - he works hard to engage families and staff and promotes a positive learning environment. One of my children has special needs and the school has worked hard to meet his needs. IEP meetings are held regularly and he receives the services he is supposed to receive per his IEP. I haven't seen the bullying issues someone else reported. The school has an active PTA which holds lots of activities for students and families. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family moved to Harford county from out of state where my daughter did her first two years of elementary school at another Montessori program. Transitioning to Bridges was a BREEZE for her! It was so nice for her to be able to jump right into materials, academics, and social structures that were familiar to her when her whole life had been flipped upside with the move. Testing doesn't tell the whole story, but I watched my daughter's MAP testing scores skyrocket, specifically with Math. She was already a very advanced reader, but the upper elementary guide apparently unlocked math for her as well! She's now performing (on a test for whatever that's worth) well above grade average. Her two younger siblings are also at bridges and thriving in the lower elementary program and the transitional program. The academic rigor is preparing students for the future, and I see my children rise to the occasion. The community aspect is amazing - sports, clubs, and activities that my kids can do, which helps them form strong friendships, and allows us to connect with other parents at the school.
