Read what parents are saying about Harford Hills Elementary SchoolThis was our first year at this school and we couldn't of had a more positive experience! My son's teacher was kind and compassionate and did a great job with the class. She communicated with me and put 100% into her classroom.
Posted by a parent on 8/16/2017Higher than excellent. From the office staff to the teachers, everyone takes an interest in the welfare of all of the children. I cannot say enough good things about this school and the staff. Blessed to have a child there.

Posted by a community member on 11/2/2016My child was identified as Gifted in the 3rd grade and was placed in advanced classes with other students to challenge them. With the exception of one teacher, I was very pleased with the education that my child received at Harford Hills! My child is now at Parkville Middle and has continued in the GT program, and recently inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. And I give credit to his teachers at Harford Hills for giving my child a solid foundation.
Posted by a parent on 8/28/2016I don't have anything great to say about this School as a whole. There are certainly wonderful teachers there but as a whole.....not so great! The two ladies at the front desk could stand to be nice and maybe smile every once in awhile! I literally would get butterflies in my stomach if I had to call the school or go in and speak to one because they are just negative, smart mouthed and RUDE!!! they couldn't even put a smile on for the children! The school well over capacity, almost 200 pupils over. I didn't like that. It felt over crowded. The school has a PTA but they put on no fun events for the children like.....movie night, father daughter dance, any kind of dance, bingo night NOTHING! And good luck trying to bring anything fun like spirit week! They only host events where they are making money. Never seemed Open to new ideas. Multiple issues with my child being very poorly treated by other children and nothing done about it. One of the 3rd grade teachers was horrible to my child! Would say things to her/him like "my 4 yr old can do that better than you". Always tearing her down instead of lifting her up! My child is a good student never in trouble, good grades, nothing but great remarks from all teachers but this one in particular just seemed like she hated her job! They had one 2nd grade teacher that was so horrible to children 5 students were removed from her class in one school year!!!!!! One child was in therapy for anxiety attacks because of this teacher and guess what?! She wasn't fired?!!! well she didn't come back the next year but the year this went on a dozen different parents having the same issues and it was swept under the rug! Just move kids to another already overloaded teacher! Back to the front desk ladies:You're the first person a parent comes in contact with, smile, be nice show some love for your school!! Or get a new job!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI honestly used to love the school, we had been here for 3 years at least. Unfourtunately our taste soured when another student physically harmed my student and the school did 0, the board did 0 and basically we protect children with behaviors and anger issues who hurt other students. With no reprecussions.. kids with behaviors basically get away with tons. Teachers hands are tied and if you ask for help/ change its not going to happen. This year 3 seperate times my childs glasses have been messed with by others in her class, broken ive repaired twice the last time was unrepairable.. i had to pay 300 for a new pair 0 consequences for other child.. and refused to help me contact childs parent to resolve issues. Its just an overall mess. If you want your child to hate school, be miserable and be influenced by others then yup.. this is for you.Parent Review2mo ago - Oakleigh Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStudent at this school, this place is the worst, I’m constantly at the verge of a mental breakdown at this school, I am not going to give anymore details for legal reasons, but if you value your child’s life, don’t pay to send them here. I am the ONLY autistic child in this school and they staff do not help me at all and only really make my issues worse.Student Review2mo ago - St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Bilingual Day School
