If your child has any special needs, this is not the school for them. My son has ASD and he was labeled as a bad child. They would call me saying he was crying at least 3 times weekly, while never explaining how they were treating him poorly. I wouldn't send a dog to this school. The staff members are very unprofessional. The principal backs his staff even if they are wrong.

Hazelwood Elementary/Middle School is truly an outstanding school for students. The staff works tirelessly to ensure that every child develops the skills needed to perform at and beyond grade level. In addition to strong academic instruction, Hazelwood offers a variety of after-school programs designed to strengthen student learning and provide enriching experiences.Students have opportunities to participate in robotics, dance, cheerleading, theater, basketball, soccer, flag football, and many other activities that help them grow both academically and socially.The arts program continues to shine at Hazelwood. The staff is rude, unorganized and it’s very unfortunate my child has to come here. It’s the main reason I’m trying to move.

This school has a music teacher that yells at the kids all day like he hates his jobs and all of the kids complain about him not sure how he’s still a teacher. This school is one sided and offer any help to the kids that is being bullied by other kids and they don’t hold all parties accountable. I really don’t trust this school and I don’t plan on keeping my kids enrolled for long.
