Read what parents are saying about Buck Lodge Middle SchoolThis school is okay. I would not reccomend the bus at all! The school ends at 3:15 and my child gets home at 5:30?! This is a horrible bus service! I don't reccomend the bus service at all! I told the teacher to keep my child there as someone was on the way and they forced her to get on the bus anyway! My child my pushed down the staairs and beaten becuase she is black and adopted! One child was expelled for self-defense! But the white child she was fighting was kept in school! Don't send your kids here!
Posted by a parent on 9/12/2023This School should not even be Recommended for any New Middle Schoolers at all. The Counselors do not help when you are in a bad situation to the point where you have to skip school because of it. The audacity of them to even scold you when you're the one who is getting harassed and threatened to be ganged on. I have fear on making friends now because of these issues. Buck Lodge Is not a safe place for students if you thought that. The Whole team lack everything, they do not care for your child's safety, they lack education, they cuss and push aside things that are important. I wish that no child goes through the same and go to a better Middle School where they actually do care for your safety and everything else. I'm extremely disappointed and I wish this School gets closed and Never opens again for all that matters. I'm a High Schooler, I had hope that this School would get better but after the years of being in it, I suppose it is not gonna get any better.
Posted by a community member on 8/16/2023Hate this school. I recently left it because I'm going to High School, but my brother is going to this school, and I couldn't feel worse about that. This school has such rude teachers that curse and are impatient. I remember hearing my Algebra math teacher curse a few times when I was in eighth grade. My reading and science teacher too. On the other hand, 7th grade was also a nightmare. My math teacher was disrespect and rude. I really hope that this school is better for any future generations, because I wish nothing but the best for them.
Posted by a student on 7/3/2023This school only cares about how it looks and the education that comes with it. Im a student here and I wish I never came here I feel horrible for students that come here.We always get in trouble for stuff we didnt do,like taking in lunch,we almost never talk in lunch and only have a few times we can talk to friends.Sexism is everywhere here, like if a girl talks in lunch she when she wasent supposed to the teachers walked pass here clearly hearing them talk and one of the teachers said she was.I hope this school closes and nevers opens up again, the teachers cuss, and I saw in lunch a teacher smack a kids hand hard.I hear teachers screamimg at student everyday and its deppresing
Posted by a student on 11/3/2022Buck Lodge Middle School is a great school. Former President Barack Obama has visited the school in 2015. The teachers make sure the students do their work, if not, their parents would be notified if their child isn't doing their best. The teachers encourage the students to do better the next time and the teachers let the students know how important it is to be at their best at all times. My teachers always encourage me to look into great colleges, and they help me with how I can be accepted into Major Ivy League schools. I always get books to read over the summer from Buck Lodge, because they care about my well-being. The teachers there are very cheerful and they won't let you leave the school without putting a smile on your face. There is also a way to see your child's grades, through Schoolmax. All students will be given an username and login to view their grades, assignments, schedules, and attendance. The students at the school help one another out during times of need. We interact with each other with respect and kindness. I'll be going into the 8th grade in 2017-2018. I very much look forward to seeing my teachers and fellow classmates again.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoor. I was disappointed with my experience as parent of a child of color. Children are treated differently and this school is not willing to address the deficiencies. If I had it all to do over, I would not send my child to this school if I had a choice.Parent Review5y ago - New Hampshire Estates Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI loved working at this elementary school. The principal and assistant principal are very professional and organized. Both implement strong positive leadership skills. They go above and beyond to do what's best for the students. The staff is very nurturing and truly love the students. There is a lot of support and resources for families.Teacher Review4y ago - Roscoe R Nix Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe autism program at this school is outstanding and we are grateful that our child was able to attend Roscoe-Nix for the past 5 years. Our child made significant progress there. The teachers and staff are extremely professional, dedicated, kind, and caring. The Principal is exceptional and I think she really sets the tone for the whole school. A happy, caring place where learning is a blast!Parent Review6y ago - Cool Spring Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMr. Millspaugh is implementing a variety of phenomenal programs to address student needs and help students succeed. The school has a health clinic with a doctor on-staff to immediately help students who become sick or injured, in addition to the school nurse. Mr. Millspaugh provides a very supportive environment for teachers, enabling them to help students make greater progress. The teachers are always learning how to improve their instruction, differentiating to each of their students' needs, and going above and beyond to support students. As a majority of students are English language learners, test scores are low because students need to learn English first. However, the teachers and administration are determined to provide rigorous instruction to help students become college and career ready.Teacher Review6y ago - Adelphi Elementary School
