Woodland Elementary School

Woodland is an excellent school since my son has been coming to Woodland he has learned to read. My son has learning disabilities and it has been tough for him but ever since he has come to the school the teachers have been so patient and nice to him and helped him so much. This is a wonderful school to send your children to I highly recommend it.

As far as the education goes it was great however they have now just switched styles of teaching and things are falling apart fast. The school ( administration ,just want to be clear about that) doesn't seem to care much about the families and their needs. They say they care but do little to show it. There is no before or after school care at the school you must send your children to the town rec center which only has about 70 opening to cover both the elementary and middle school. 70 opening for over 1000 students???? With all of the 1/2 days and days off they take it makes it almost impossible to be a working parent when they don't have a larger child care program or any added activities. It is so unnecessary to have as many 1/2 days . Children are not allowed to take a different buss and anytime , also making it difficult on parents. Not everyone can be a stay at home parent or has a built in babysitter that can get them selves to your house so the kids have someone with them after school. Oh and far as the PTO good luck! Everyone is nice however if your an outsider looking join it will be difficult . Worse than high school clicks
