Bates Elementary School is such a welcoming and supportive community! The teachers and staff truly care about every student and go above and beyond to help them grow both academically and socially. Communication with families is excellent — they make sure parents are informed and involved every step of the way.The principal and staff create a positive, inclusive environment where kids feel safe, respected, and excited to learn. There are also so many fun school events and activities that bring families together and build strong connections.We’re so grateful to be part of the Bates community — it’s clear that everyone here is dedicated to helping students succeed and feel proud of their school!

My son arrived at this school without knowing a word of English, he was very well supported and welcomed, and now, after 3 years there, I realize how this school and its professionals are shaping him into a good citizen. The attention he receives exceeds expectations. He loves the school and especially Mr. Grube.

Strength: The mathematics education was first rate; we were often a full year ahead of local public school students academically. Weakness: Discipline was wholly unfair to the boys. As a girl, I only had to sit on a hallway bench outside of Father Bob's office for several minutes to reflect on my mistakes (mostly fidgeting a lot in class). Making the very same mistakes that I did, my brother and a few other boys were read the riot act and were punished inside the office. Several of the nuns acknowledged the unfairness of punishments for boys but seemed unwilling to point it out the associate pastor. But again, at least the academics at St. Joe's were truly first rate.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to be a part of the Tower School community. There is no greater joy than watching our son run into school every day, eager to learn and engage with his teachers and friends. The dedication and commitment of teachers, administration and staff to ensure an enriching and supportive environment every day is inspiring.

As a former actual student who graduated this LGBTQIA WOKE indoctrination center. Can affirm they lack the ability to teach children the NECESSARY information needed for high school. Putting most children behind when they graduate. The staff is caring but not about the work, about the idea of work. This is how you make liberals who don't think on their own. They place feelings above facts they put a higher price on learning abstract things than NEEDED things like math and science. Learning to sing and dance and draw is a MAJOR part of the curriculum. Yet not helpful in high school or life. 5-8th graders are subject to baby sitting duties and told it helps them learn by babysitting the younger students. Not having enough staff at any time is a common theme. Children with behavioral issues are NEVER separated from the other children. Do not send your kids here..
