J.C. Solmonese Elementary School

I can speak on the last two years and have been extremely happy with my child’s experience at the JCS. Teacher and staff always listen to my concerns and are responsive. Many chances for volunteering opportunities with school events. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say, it’s been a positive experience from the principle to custodians.

JCS is the best! Great teachers, great administration (the Principal is a gem!) and an engaged and enthusiastic staff overall who want the children to excel. Lots of emphasis on a healthy, inclusive and positive culture.

Back in 2016, went to this school for kindergarten to 2nd grade. Lunch was pretty unhealthy but, we got Papa John's pizza on Thursdays which is cool. They don't recharge you to have a veggie like my new school does and lunch is overall bad. The teachers were pretty okay but punish students for reason such as scribbling over your paper in KINDERGARTEN. also, the playgrounds are nice but maybe the basketball court could use some work. The thing that was the worst was discipline. They would punish you without any proof of someone told on you. I would not recommend this school
