John J McGlynn Elementary School

I am an 8th grade student at this school and I would not recommend bringing ur student here I’ve heard better things about other schools than this one teachers will give you a work sheet barely explain and expect you to do it and if you don’t know how then you have to figure it out on ur own there’s been 2 physical fights at this school and a lot of verbal fights and nothing is done there only solution is to call home and that’s it I’ve been here since pre-k and nothings changed since then

Our family has had an overwhelmingly positive experience at the Healey School. The teachers are hard working, class sizes are low and diversity is actively celebrated. We cannot say enough good things about this community!

This is the smallest of the elementary schools in Medford. The teacher/student ratio is lower than the other elementary schools at 9:1. Both of my children had IEPs and the school handled them well for the most part. When my daughter needed a special program for children with language-based learning disabilities, she needed to transfer to the Brooks School where they had that program.

My daughter has gone here for several years now and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The teachers have all been quite good, with the experienced ones being excellent. Ms Devlin is especially AMAZING. What a gifted teacher. My daughter always goes to school without any dread and comes home happy. I wish my own Elementary School experience had been this good.
