Teachers suffer a toxic work environment. Students notice and this leads to a poor culture, at best. Try to interview staff to attempt to get some h

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn my opinion the teachers are doing an excellent job. It is hard and a lot of work but teachers are fair and care for your children. However I do not like the community at all. In all those years I have never felt welcome by other families. There is this "Elite" that sticks together and completely ignores anyone else. IC offers gatherings for fundraiser purposes but when you show up nobody even looks at you. I feel more welcome at my gym then at my children's school! The retirement of the principal was long overdue, same goes for some of the teachers (art and music is a very sad subject at this school!) If you are looking for excellent education for your children (but not in music or art) this is the right school - if you are trying to be a member of the community you might be lucky and meet the right person but I wouldn't count on it!
