The teachers are great however administration is lacking tremendously. I took my children out after seeing how clear it was that the school is a business and does not take children and families privacy and rights into account. Administration does whatever they want and they cover each other up when complaints are brought up. The school allowed an outsider to go in and speak with my children without my knowledge or consent and never contacted me after the fact. In addition, the outsider was never asked for identification and therefore the school exposed my children to a complete stranger which was very traumatic for them.

Thacher Montessori has been an absolutely amazing educational experience for my family. From the aftercare staff to the assistants and guides, everyone here is humble, open, loving, caring, and supportive. The administration is top notch and are so involved and phenomenal. Deba Dunn has set the standard high for all those on staff at Thacher. She is a highly trained and education Montessorian who runs an exceptional program and cares for all families who come through the doors at Thacher. If you want to foster a love for learning and independence, Thacher Montesorri, under the direction of Deba Dunn, is the best place for your family.

We couldn't be more pleased with the experience our children are having at DCD. They are intellectually stimulated and the curriculum keeps them curious. They are learning what it means to be part of a team, whether that's through athletics or working with partners in class. They are pushed when they need to be challenged and supported when the challenge is great. They know what it means to be part of a community--and our whole family feels tied to that community. The teachers truly know the students here, and the sense of fun, energy and kindness is palpable the moment you enter campus. At DCD, the kids spend lots of time outside and doing hands-on learning; they have broad access to the arts. This school is committed to community service and public speaking; they champion kindness and curiosity, and they help students find their own way through disputes. I can't say enough good things about this school--it has truly been a gift for our family!
