South Middle School

My daughter started at South this past fall and I must say that I am very impressed so far. Everyone at South has been great and my child absolutely loves it! The teachers have been awesome and having the ability to check grades and assignments online has been a God send.The principal, Mr. McDonough is a class act, very down to earth and just an all around great guy! I am so happy with the Braintree school system and am so thankful my daughter is getting a great education at South.

This is a pretty good school, but they need to take care of those special needs kids A LOT more than they already do.. They let them wonder off in the middle of class, and they go up to people and bother them. Seriously? Keep them AWAY from students, this is so disturbing to others. They are just pathetic acting sometimes, so WATCH THEM.

Amazing faculty and wonderful student body! The school is extremely organized with the web system where you can access to see your child's school progress. There is frequent PTO meeting or discussion group for the concern parents, or those who have questions. School is situated in a wonderful residential area with large athletic field, and plenty of parking lot for the parents. Lots of teachers are from Braintree including the school principal, and some of their extended family members are either have attended or currently attending the Braintree schools. It is a wonderful school for my child and it is a true gem of the town.

So far so good. My son loves this school. The teachers really love what thet do and care about teaching the students so that they are able to learn, and to me that's very important. My son has lots of support from the school and I love being able to check my son's grades in all classes. I love being able to get in contact with the teachers so easily!!!!
