NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Advent School was at the top of our list for schools we were considering. The positive experiences we've had over the years have been better than we could have even imagined. Between the co-teaching model in each classroom, all of the learning specialists, specials teachers, and more, it feels like our kids are getting as close as you can get to an individually tailored learning experience. Every aspect of the school day is carefully planned and thought out - the approaches for teaching core academic subjects, the R&I (research and investigation) topics that teach kids to be critical thinkers, learners, and advocates, and the specials/extracurriculars that our kids rave about mean our kids love their school days. We're so grateful that our kids are getting such an amazing experience in these early elementary years.Parent Review6mo ago30 Reviews - Boston Children's School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been very happy with our experience at Boston Children's School so far. It is a warm, fun, calming, well-run/well-organized environment. This is an incredible option for your child, especially if they are going to school for the first time. Mrs Langer and the staff were truly wonderful with helping our son acclimate - they were so kind and patient with him, giving him true one-on-one attention on adapting. They kept us updated each day (throughout the day) on how he was doing, which was very reassuring for us. We also LOVE how the children of all the age groups interact/spend time with each other throughout the day (e.g. lunchtime, snacktime). It is so good for the younger kids to learn from/see how the older kids behave in a school setting. And the older kids are so wonderful with the younger ones, helping and teaching them!It is clear to us that BCS has been run, cared for, and beautifully managed since inception - and by the same director, Mrs Langer. She really is a gift to the students and their families. She is a seasoned educator, who develops a wholesome and highly inclusive curriculum that is focused on just that; the education and an environment for the children to flourish in. She makes it feel like one big family. Also to note, it's super easy to drop off if you will drive your child to school in front of 8 Whittier Place. There is a driveway in front of the building, away from traffic, etc.Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Park Street School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSt John School continues to go above and beyond my family’s expectations. The teachers and staff have an amazing balance of challenging students academically while being caring and approachable. The community is warm and engaging. Other benefits include a wonderful location in the North End and awesome afterschool, summer and school vacation enrichment programs. Our daughter loves the school, where she feels confident and comfortable, making it a joyful place to develop community values while building a love for learning.Parent Review2y ago27 Reviews - Kingsley Montessori School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKingsley is truly an extraordinary school. I have never been to a place where teachers guide and support the children so well while also allowing them to take the lead in their learning. Because the classrooms are mixed-age, I feel it mimics real-life scenarios where you work with people of varied ages. I love seeing the older students mentoring the younger ones and the younger ones looking up to the older ones. The communication is spot-on and I always feel informed about events at the school, deadlines, etc. I think the last two-plus years have been tough on all schools, but the way I have seen the Kingsley community come together to support one another has been extraordinary. From the administration to the teachers to the parents to the students themselves, Kingsley has navigated the pandemic and all the changes in a professional, caring way. I feel thankful my child is able to have this learning and community experience.Parent Review4y ago8 Reviews
