Read what parents are saying about Doherty Middle SchoolI attended school here a few years back. I can’t explain how bad of a decision it would be to send your child here. I experienced years of bullying from both the students and teachers. administration and the principal did nothing about it even after my parents would complain and ask for help. they prioritize the parents who give the most money to the school and their children will be favored. the teachers play favorites. when I attended school here, the last 2 years of my time there, they had 3-4 different new math teachers and eventually ended up having a parent teach. this school should be shut down. to any parent looking to send their child here all I have to say is turn back now. you will spare your child years of favoritism and struggle compared to public school. There is no counseling for students dealing with bullying either. every year it seemed like there was a new teacher to fill the place of another because the school kept driving away anyone who wanted to work there, and the ones that stayed were same exhausted miserable teachers who have been there for years. Saint Augustine’s is very behind in education compared to Doherty and other Andover schools. since graduating I have heard several stories about how it is still like how i left unfortunately. save your money and do not send your child here.
Posted by a parent on 8/29/2022itss lgbtq inclusive withch is cool because there are pride stickers everywhere and stfff but the school is also good at dealing with bullying cause they keep reports anonymous but they don't prevent it
Posted by a student on 6/9/2022My son is diagnosed with several issues. School was notified early december but wouldn't change IEP till mid April. My son by teachers I have been told was respectful. The kids in the school would bully him and he would react negatively. My son was lied about several times buy other "popular kids" and those who have been friends for years which this was the first time he went to andover schools. The prinicipal and administration said that "andover kids are trustworthy kids" and mine wasn't. I gave them info on these " trustworthy kids" that said my son didn't do what they said and school said they are no longer trustworthy they are kids. School violated the ADA against my son. They are not capable to handle kids at all with special needs. The administration continues to bully my son and he is scared to go back. DO NOT SEND
Posted by a parent on 6/3/2022Doherty Middle School is a a great learning environment, one of the best in town. The educational staff is passionate about what they do and strive to provide all students with the best experience to meet their needs and succeed in class, as well as life.
Posted by a community member on 9/13/2019Majority of my friends, other classmates, and myself can all agree the school is the main source of our anxieties/stresses. I've forgotten how many times I've seen students leave the room or end up crying in the middle of class. Each student is time bomb ticking towards a mental breakdown. There's so much pressure and unrealistic expectations from the teachers and no tolerance for anyone with mental/learning disorders.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son just transferred out after a month. We gave it a chance with the new principal and it was a no go. The new principal after Daley is a joke. Good luck to all the kids, as they will need extra tutors, especially middle school. Sad this school is quickly failing.Other Review6mo ago - The Pike School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have been part of Pike since Pre-K, and are excelling in the Lower School. Throughout our journey in the lower school, every teacher they've had has been exceptional. They prioritize developing the whole child, taking the time to understand children’s individual needs, and infusing fun and creative learning into classroom activities. With small class sizes, a diverse student body, a strong emphasis on the outdoors, and a crucial focus on fostering kindness and empathy, Pike creates an environment where students thrive. Choosing Pike has undoubtedly been one of the best choices for our family, and we eagerly anticipate witnessing our children's continued growth at the school.Parent Review3w ago - Anne Bradstreet Early Childhood Center
