My daughter is in first grade here and we have been incredibly impressed with her teachers thus far, and the principal, Ms. Costa is outstanding. She's very approachable and cares tremendously for the kids and their well-being. We haven't really gotten to the age where some of these things come in to play (bullying), but if we do and there are issues of concern, I have confidence that Principal Costa would have an open door and a desire to fix things that are brought to her attention.

I have had 5 kids attend Bancroft. It's been a great experience for them all!

Not very impressed with this school at all for myriad reasons-unfriendly parents, no sense of community, too many lackluster worksheets, too many cookie-cutter privileged white kids. Little to no diversity and weekend events for families and the community at large. Poor communication from teachers, who aren't great. I have not been pleased with teacher quality; for such a wealthy district, Andover needs to hire more effectively. Horrible report card comments! Staccato sentences with little to no enthusiasm. What a disappointment. Try to find another school.

I am not impressed with the school, teachers, or principal. Communication is subpar at best. I am not referring to the massive quantities of emails sent, but the actual communication a parent needs from a teacher regarding their child's performance in class. I haven't found assignments to be engaging for the students. Occasionally, a project will arise and will spark a small interest, but that seems to only be the case because the general assignments are bland and distinctively MCAS driven. I also find it strange many teachers seem unwilling to regularly allow a parent volunteer into their actual classroom. This seems counterintuitive, considering a well managed volunteer is easily an asset to both the teacher and the class, simply by freeing up the teacher s time to concentrate on students that need more individualized attention. I find the lack of individualized attention is the primary issue with this school. Not all is negative about this review. There are interesting options available to students via the Expanding Horizons program; that being said, it hardly makes up for the lack of creativity and individual attention in the classroom environment.
