Horrible school do not send you’re child here
Posted by a student on 9/12/2022BMA is an incredible institution of higher learning and Christian education. I attended Bishop McManus Academy from 1st grade - 12th grade and I loved it. I am proud to call BMA my Alma Matter. I am now married with one son who also attends BMA.

Posted by a parent on 4/2/2014As a parent of a child that attend BMA, I have to say this is the worst school I put my daughter in, they have so many flaws.....I guarantee she will not be attending next year.... Wish I would have listen to family and other parents who taken there kids out of this school, but don't listen to me...

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is an "Anti-Bullying" school and I know if kids who have been bullied, parents have reported it and the administration has done nothing about it. They fire good teachers and principals then hire people they know who have no prior teaching experience. Our kids are suffering due the change in staff and curriculum. My daughter hasn't had homework in a month all because they have put the 7th graders on an online learning program which no one is holding the teachers accountable for staying on top of students. They lie just to appease parents for a short moment. Un trustworthy and discriminatory staff. Do NOT send your children here. They treat them like prisoners escorting them to the restroom. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been teaching for a very long time and I have taught in New Orleans for a very long time, but Fannie C. Williams Charter School is perhaps the worst school I have ever taught. The students are typical children and the school building is beautiful; however, the administration is a major problem. Children run the school as teachers are afraid of the children and parents. The administration is not visible at all. As a matter of fact, the assistant principal took a cruise during the middle of the school year and took time away from school to attend the Beyonc concert in another state. She has no idea how to correct the academic problem. Students are not learning because teachers can not teach with such a severe behavior problem. Visit the school on any occasion and you will see chaos especially in the middle school section. There is a revolving door of teachers every year.
