Read what parents are saying about Ascension Episcopal SchoolDO NOT send your children to this school! IT IS HORRIBLE many of the teachers do not know how to teach, the students are rich brats, there is no diversity, and there is no real religion taught at all. It is WAAAY overpriced for what you get. Absolutely not worth $15-18,000 per year!!!! I regret sending my kids here they are not properly prepared for college at all, i wish I would have switched them to any other school. There is also no unity there among the students or parents. they are all unwelcoming and the school turns their eye away from bullying. Some of the High school teachers get involved with the student drama and enjoy knowing all the gossip.. ridiculous! If you are not a football player or cheerleader at this school you are nobody. Spend your well earned $ someplace besides here...Hindsight is 20/20
Posted by a parent on 8/23/2022Ascension Episcopal School is family oriented. Christian values and high academics are top priority. This is a wonderful school!

Posted by a principal on 4/10/2018Everyday we had the hardest time to get our kid to go to school at Ascension. He hated school. We switched to woodvale elem, best thing we ever did , Much better school, better teachers, My kid now loves school
Posted by a parent on 5/24/2016I am a student at AES currently. I am a freshmen and have been at AES since 8th grade. Ascension is such an amazing school and there is no other school like it. The love that flows through the school is amazing and all the teachers want to be there. There are many opportunities and sports at AES it is wonderful. The growth in our school is tremendous and it is still going. Being a blue gator is such a great feeling and I'm proud to be one. The academics are amazing, aswell. Teachers will work with you and help you. GO BIG BLUE! AES is a student-led school in a sense of leadership like prefects and leader ship team. Yes, the teachers and faculty run the school but the students have a loud voice!

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA teacher that spends the mahority of the day with my child says he is top of his class. Another teacher who only spends 2 hours with my child says she always has an issue. After research, she is under experienced with younger children. The expectations are unrealistic. Being that this school has a large AA demographic I’m concerned that they are misunderstood. This will be my children’s last year.Parent Review2y ago - Myrtle Place Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis Immersion only school is remarkable. The teachers do so much for the kids. They are reading and writing in French by the end of first grade. Being fluent in another language is such a great gift we get to give our kids and this school makes it possible. We got a new principal last year and she really cares, it shows everyday. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place that makes you feel like you’re a part of a familyParent Review5y ago - First Baptist Christian School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been involved with CCS for many years. it has been a blessing to watch our children grow into well rounded, very polite and bright young adults. Academically, I understand that more CCS students received state awards for ACT scores and GPA than any other scool in Lafayette. I am not certain of this but I heard that the science scores are well above other schools. We are very pleased with the ability of CCS to deliver a Christ centered atmosphere and prepare academically.Parent Review10y ago - Holy Family Catholic School
