School For Exceptional Children

My children, on both ends of the spectrum of ADD have had different experienced at this school. One, who is eager to please has excelled at this school. The other, has had a horrible time here. I pray this year will be different.

Legion Park has really made a turnaround with its new principal and revamped staff.

My son transferred here from Mulberry when we moved in bro our new home. I was very apprehensive because of bad rumors I had heard. I honestly can say, do not believe everything you hear!! My son loves it there! He is thriving and has made so many new friends. The staff is wonderful and they really go above and beyond for the kids. I am so happy that he had the opportunity to go there!!

I am beyond disappointed in our experience at Houma Christian School. What is marketed as a Christ-centered environment felt anything but Christ-like behind the scenes.There is a clear culture of favoritism. Rules are not applied equally. Discipline appears selective. In athletics especially, it often feels like influence and financial support matter more than merit or character. Some students seem protected while others are held to entirely different standards.Bullying is not taken seriously, and what’s even more disturbing is that in our experience, some of the most hurtful behavior did not only come from students. We witnessed adults in authority speak to children in ways that were demeaning, dismissive, and unkind. When teachers model hostility or sarcasm toward students, it creates a culture where bullying is normalized instead of corrected.There is a lack of consistency and accountability. It often feels like “who you know” determines outcomes more than what is right.A Christian school should reflect fairness, humility, compassion, and protection of children. Instead, we experienced politics, favoritism, and a culture that felt far removed from the values it claims to represent.I hope leadership reflects deeply on the environment they are creating. Children deserve better.

They allow students to be bullied. The teachers do not teach but maybe 2 subjects a day. They spend more time playing in every grade level then work. 6k a year for your child to be given grades and does not have to really do work.
