Read what parents are saying about Woodmere Elementary SchoolSomething very upsetting was brung to my attention, The Young Audience Program has been canceled at wood mere.... Well Since my daughter truly benefited from this program, I will fight this foolishness till the end...... Guaranteed. I rate the new principle with the stars you see selected and 5 stars for the old principle who really cared about the kids, instead of themselves. Signed, A very Angry Parent
Posted by a parent on 7/29/2013I have two children who attend this school. If I could afford for.them to attend private school or to have them home schooled I would. My daughter was not being taught by her first gradeteacher and failed once she was transferred to another class which means she will have to repeat the first grade. My son who exceptionally smart is classified as a problem child because he is bored with what he's being taught and his educational needs are not being met. I wouldn't recommend this school to my worst enemy.
Posted by a parent on 7/11/2013this school is by far the worst school in the state from them not caring about ur childs will being to the teachers only wanting to deal the kids they dont have to work hard to teach.. so they make ur child out to be a bad kid so one or two things will happen. they drop out of school or have low selfesteem. i would say if you really want ur kids to be at there best. home school k12.com has teacher that love to teach ur kids and the send u every thing u need. my kids are doing very will n they can not fail. repeat can not fail.. cause they will not let them move on till they learn the lesson. therefor ur kids are smarter. and the work at there own pace

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy son currently goes to this school because we live in the district, which is the only reason he's going there.. when he was in pre-school his teacher has some chart she used to "control" their behavior. she would mark my son a different color because of things like he misplaced his name badge. I had to call the teacher and explain to her that if she really cared about the kids' behavior she wouldn't mark them down for something that has nothing to do with their behavior. Also they have a woman secretary there named patty that is just a horrible person. She comes off with a power-trip attitude before you even reach a conversation with her. I've spoken about her with other staff members and they have also said she has a bad reputation. If I didn't think she would take it out on my son, I'd really tell her where to go.Parent Review2y ago - Estelle Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers have been great. I have never had a problem getting in contact with a teacher. They have always been wonderful with my children. They are tough teachers, but fair. -- The principal on the other hand needs to learn how to talk to people especially students.Parent Review5y ago - Ella C. Pittman Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is terrible! They do not care about the students or their academic needs. The staff are rude and unaccommodating to the needs of parents or students. The school also has a severe lice infestation.Parent Review5y ago - Woodland West Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have attended Arden Cahill since they were newborns, and now my oldest is entering Kindergarten. The teachers are engaging and supportive, and my child is excited about school and eager to learn. My youngest is still in the infant care center, and I do know they are struggling with staffing, but which organization isn't having a staffing issue? I understand there are challenges, but my child is content and always so happy to see the daycare staff. I'm excited to see what the new school year has to bring.Parent Review8mo ago
