Holy Ghost School

My son is getting ready to attend his third year at the Lab school and I have nothing but good experiences. I absolutely loved the 2nd grade teacher. Since the public schools are so poorly rated in this area and the private schools are to expensive I have found this to be a great alternative to public school and the tuition is affordable.

My complaints are specific bus drivers such as 10h Female Driver not being fired after multiple issues with her engaging anger and initiating a demeanor of aggressive disrespect towards the children and their parents. Also the young blonde staff member in front office should smile, welcome and listen more. She literally rolls her eyes, ignores what you're saying, respond inaccurate info and waste your time.

I have been a parent (continually) at Harvest Christian academy since Fall of 1995. I have graduated two children from Harvest and will graduate my last child this coming school year (2011-2012). My two HCA graduates are now juniors, one in college and one in high school. Over the last 16 years I have liked and disliked some things at Harvest school but the most important element of HCA, that hasn't changed, is the Christian principles and standards that all students are required to uphold. This school is a Bible based school that teaches core subjects: math, english/reading/literature, history, science, and physical education. THE TEACHERS at HCA are all Louisiana certified. The administration has worked amicably over the years each time I had a parental concern for my child. This past school year Harvest church blessed the school by completing the gymnasium. Thanks to Harvest church our basketball teams had a place on campus to practice! I am sad this is my families' last year at HCA. A GREAT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL!

Trafton is a great school. My child is currently in 7th grade and has been there since Kindergarten. He is able to participate in sports, takes Spanish, does in depth projects and reports. I feel he will do well in high school and beyond as a result of the great education he has received at Trafton.

This school is awesome and my child enjoys going to school every day. She is learning more and more everyday. She comes home singing about the love of God. This a an A+ in my book.Ashley

This school has made a lasting impression on my now teenage son. He attended the school until he graduated from kindergarten. It was such a nurturing environment. His love of literature and math, inspired there, has lead to him to become at ease with any subject requiring these skills. He also continues to have a great aptitude for foreign languages. -Mrs. Haynes

They gave up on our 2.5 year old soon IMMEDIATELY because he would cry after anxiety during the first week of school??? We were told by the owner the school was not equipped with enough teachers to deal with a crying child throughout the day??? AVOID this school at all costs. There are MUCH better options in Hammond, LA if you are looking to enroll your child in a Montessori school.
