I find this school challenging. The teachers can be tough, and the lunches aren't my favorite. There are moments when the schoolwork feels overwhelming, and sometimes I wish for a different approach to learning. I long for the freedom of online school, where I can explore at my own pace.

Posted by a parent on 3/11/20213rd grade is the beginning of State exams. Very bad third grade teaches, several 3rd grade teachers left, new teachers are just angry people with no teaching ability! The teachers seem to show anger towards, dropping chrome books in class . Few bad teachers make the school look bad!
Posted by a community member on 3/29/2019This is great public school in East Baton Rouge. School has small classes size. The teachers and staffs are very friendly. This is magnet education level, but my children find it very easy in math and english. I wish they have advance level for all objects that will challenge the advance students.

The arts department is great but the core classes work these kids too hard. They get piled on with endless homework and then the tests are often not even listed in the agendas. There is poor communication between the teachers and parents. The admin does not address problems properly. IEPs are ignored. One teacher told my granddaughter that she thinks she’s privileged bc she’s white!! One student told my granddaughter that she bullies her because she’s white!! Why would a teacher tell a student this. Why would the child bully make a statement like that? My granddaughter has more black friends then white friends. I am extremely excited that they’re closing the doors.
