2.5/5. The people who go to this school, thinks it's the best school in the state. But if you look at the ratings, it is only rated 9th. Their are 3 other school in Baton Rouge that rank better then EHS. Plus this school is limited to what it can offer other then the basic core classes. Look at Cath
Posted by a parent on 3/16/2020I guess its a good school and I couldn't really imagine going anywhere else in Baton Rouge. All I can is say is I wish I tried harder in middle school. Also, school lunch is either really good or really bad!
Posted by a student on 2/6/2020Honestly, this highschool puts way too much pressure onto students. Even in my earlier years of high school, they gave me too much homework that I could handle. They say they want students to have a social life and be part of extracurricular activities such as sports or the play, but how could you.

My middle schooler enjoys four different arts each year including drama, dance, choral music, and art. We are also very impressed by the World Language department. The receptionist lady always scares me when I hear his voice I always forget why I am calling. My pre-k boy is going to school every day I am trying to contact to teacher she never answered my mail. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible. If you have a child with accommodations or an IEP don't allow your child to attend this school. They could care less. Also, if your child is in need of an IEP, you do not want them to start it, they will stack it with information that's false and embellished so that the teachers will have a reason to not teach your child and just throw them in special education. There is no such thing as inclusion. They will lie. The administration offers no resources for teachers, because of the lack of knowledge themselves. I hated every day my child attended. Worse decision I could have ever made for my child. Had I not been an active mom that's involved and vocal they would have done the bare minimum for my child and not cared the least. One of the worse schools I have ever seen those cares only about making a day easy for one brand of students.
