Hebron Middle School

My son was in class with a teacher that was basically torturing students inspite of repeatedly asking for him to be removed. She was putting students including my son in the hall for hours. She takes playtime away from the entire class constantly. She takes special events away from the students individually. She cannot move on day to day with the children if your bad for one day then their bad every day after. She talks to the students constantly about her husband being in the military while she is providing discipline inspite of the fact that she is a teacher and not a drill instructor nor is she in the military. When playtime is taken which is most days the students have to practice lining up because you know she’s military affiliated. She was also continuously threatening the children with not advancing which let’s face it no child left behind public schools that isn’t a reality that is going to happen. She couldn’t pay attention to the students from us and teach students that we’re immigrants at same time. Part of the reason my son was being put in the halls is because they needed more attention than resident students. She ruined my sons love of learning and happiness to go to school. I can honestly say he learned very little because of her constant nagging the students didn’t want to hear anything she had to say. She’s a punitive miserable person and I really hope brooks eventually deals with Haley Stewart she doesn’t like children and our children do not deserve being exposed to her. I would leave this review under their public page but of course they have commenting turned off.

Super nice and helpful staff. Amazing with all three of my children. Amazing seeing them grow and the things they tell me they have learned so quickly. Always something being brought home to demonstrate the progress and activities learned . sports activities are incredible. Would highly recommend this school to others.

I am truly heart broken being a single mom to a little boy. Being a mother is tough and being a mother who didn't have a mother growing up i cant explain how hard it is. wondering if im making the right choice doing the right thing.. with that being said a My son was in the 2nd grade 2021-2022 with Covid he missed a lot of 1st grade you really don't understand how important 1st grade is until you are hit in a situation like i am of course hes behind .at this point whos child is not i was contacted by his teacher asking my thoughts of holding my son back to redo the 2nd grade due to his reading.. When i asked if i could let the father of my child voice his option i was shot down. Needless to say i decided against it.. with the split classes my son coming out of a 1st/2nd grade split thinking that he would be in a 2nd/3rd split i thought for sure we could get my son where he needed to be with the upcoming year only to find out that because i didn't hold him back to repeat the 2nd grade .. they pushed him right on in to a all 3rd grade class no split class.. They tell me that they have the best intentions for my Child and I'm sorry to say that is a lie. I am beyond now worried about my son i I NOW feel like i have failed my Son.... its the worst the feeling in the world.. I JUST NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS IS OK.. HE MISSED ALL OF 1ST GRADE DUE TO COVID - HE WAS PLACED IN A 1ST/2ND GRADE SPLIT FOR 2ND GRADE.. SO PLEASE TELL ME WHY WOULD HE NOT BE PLACED IN A 2ND/3RD GRADE SPLIT IF YOU THOUGHT I SOULD HAVE HELD HIM BACK TO REDO THE 2ND GRADE.. i never been more let down in my life and they dont care
