Read what parents are saying about Crosby Middle SchoolI go to this school and it is a amazing school. The teachers make sure that we learn what we need to learn, but also make sure we have a great time. We also have a lot of secruity just in case of a shooting or a fight.
Posted by a student on 5/10/2023My older son went to Crosby. Since it was my first experience with middle school I honestly thought the frustration and lack of communication was just part to middle school. Until my middle child went to a different middle school where it was an awesome experience as a parent. Communication among parents, staff and student was excellent. The moral of the school was always positive, very little fights and bullying. The experience taught me Crosby really was the problem. This school is "organized chaos " because of its size .
Posted by a parent on 5/2/2018My child hates school and has little faith that the teachers care or can help him learn. The 504 plan is ignored and learning needs are not supported.
Posted by a community member on 2/14/2018This school is one of the worst schools in Jefferson county and nothing is being done about it! Just google Crosby Middle and watch the news stories roll in. From bulling, fights, sexual assault, and videos of it all happening. I don’t speak of this as an outsider, my son went to Crosby last year and I have witnessed this first hand. Classes are so overcrowded that they are holding class on a stage in the cafeteria. They can’t keep teachers my son had 4 different science teachers last year. I could go on and on but I’m going to leave it at this, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL!!
Posted by a parent on 11/21/2017i know a lot of people made fun of me because i was going to Crosby, i thought it was going to be a horrible school. it turns out i love it, its so fun ,yes ther is bulling and no punishment you just have to stay out of that so. if you are going to send your child to Crosby that fine just make sure they stay out of drama and they will be fine and have fun. any ways my experience at this school i would rate a 8 out of 10.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSave your kids and yourself by NOT sending them to this school. The teachers are bullies. Their bus system is a joke. The pick up and drop off times range from 15 minues to an HOUR! They do not inform if a bus is running late and whebn you try to get a hold of anyone there is no answer. The office ladies are also bullies and call parents that fight for their kids "Karens". This school should be shut down. Or better yet just find all new staff. The grade of this school shows! Low test scores!Parent Review1y ago - Summit Academy of Greater Louisville

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend the Academy for Individual Excellence (AIE) in Louisville (Jeffersontown), KY, especially if your child does not do well in a traditional school setting. Our son started at AIE last year after a bad experience with virtual school at his public school during the pandemic. He had fallen behind academically and also struggled with high functioning autism. While his public school teachers (including an autism specialist and a counselor) tried very hard to help him, AIE has made him positive about school again. He resisted going to school (when it was in-person) from pre-school through 4th grade, but last year in 5th grade at AIE, things started to get better. Now, in 6th grade, he's doing great and doesn't resist going to school anymore. We like AIE so much that we transferred our 3rd grade daughter there and my wife got a job teaching there. While the academics are not "Ivy League prep," AIE has relieved much of the stress and anxiety my son felt about school before and he is catching up well after the pandemic. AIE's school setting is not for everyone, but its unique approach to learning and Christian values have been very helpful for our kids and family.Parent Review1y ago - Alex R. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Alex R. Kennedy. They have more than exceeded our expectations. I love that the staff pretty much knows all the children by name. We will most definitely miss this school when it's time to move on.Parent Review2y ago - Highlands Latin School
