My daughter had gone to a private school for 2 years before coming to Engelhard, but she was diagnosed with a reading disorder and her private school was not equipped to help her. So JCPS

I love each and every child that enters the doors of this school, and am shocked to know that a parent on here feels that I do not see the "good" in her child. I have worked as a reading tutor at Engelhard for 2 years. I have grown to appreciate how well the school is operated, given its inner-city student make-up. Engelhard is deserving of all the recognition it can receive.

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHeuser is by and far the best school my daughter could have ever attended. I'm really happy it is here. I have seen her blossom in a way I never anticipated. The teachers are all wonderful. Linda, who is almost always at the front desk, is absolutely amazing. I came here a stranger, and when my little one ages out, we will leave as family. They have made having a special needs child easier. (My daughter has global delays.) When we lived in another state, I was given an audiogram. They called it the speech banana. Then, I moved here and became acquainted with the staff. I learned that that diagram had been created by a member of the Heuser staff to help parents better understand their child's hearing loss.
