The elementary program was a great experience, but the middle school culture is incredibly disappointing. While a few individual teachers are amazing, others only focus on their favorite students. Posted by a parent on 5/14/2026My shy kids have absolutely flourished here. The small class sizes and support from the staff have resulted in a positive learning environment and safe space for them. It’s a great community with excellent academics and an amazing staff.

It feels like a dictatorship and anyone who expresses concern or attempts to make changes gets ran out. Do not spend your hard earned money on an education here. There are other Catholic options closeby.

Upon graduation from Ascension, I am confident my children will be equipped with the academic and social-emotional skills they need for the next step of their journey!

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Friends School was life changing for our son and family. He attended pre-K there and would have continued to go if we hadn't moved out of state. Our son has ADHD and may possibly be on the spectrum. He has issues dealing with his emotions and had severe behavioral issues. After just one school year, the change in him is amazing to see. He used to be the one who would hit other kids. Now he is the one showing restraint when other kids hit him. He is getting better at sharing and calming himself down. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to SATG 5th through the first half of 7th grade. This school wrecked me. I'm not exaggerating either. I had some underlying mental health issues already coming into the school (too mild to be treated for), and this school amplified them times 10. Even waiting in the carpool line to be dropped off was so anxiety-inducing. I was relentlessly bullied over the interner and behind my back. My friends had rocks and sticks thrown at them. Nobody ever got the justice they deserved and the bullying continued. The teachers seem nice but they really don't care that much about you.
