Gardiner Elementary School

The education my kids are receiving is Amazing. The staff welcomed my kids with open arms and a big smile. When I need someone to talk to they allow me to talk to them and don't make me feel rushed or a burden.

My experience has been good. Have had no problems with the faculty or staff at Linwood Elementary.

My son is in 2nd grade and has the most awesome teacher - Mr. Heck. He is deeply committed to seeing his students succeed and takes a person interest in them. Last year our son had a wonderful teacher, too. The entire atmosphere of the school and the staff attitudes are positive and helpful. It's a pleasure having our son at Stanley. His Kindergarten year at a different school that was ranked as one of the best in Wichita, was the polar opposite of Stanley. He's now excited to learn and is excelling in nearly every subject because of the positive feedback and encouragement he receives.

From the little time we've been here, it does seem like the teacher my daughter has cares. I've talked to the principal a couple times and she seems like she wants to help. I do feel like they could do more for this school but it's the district in whole. I wouldn't put a low score for this school because even the Middle School my son goes to puts in this effort. I think they need more support. It seems like it lacks community so they have to work with what they have. I do have to say I'm not from this area.... so I might be used to something different. At our old schools when I dropped my kids off in the morning staff or teachers and the principal would be there. Greeting them as they walk in. Making sure the buses are able to pull in okay. Making sure that people aren't being irate, kids aren't getting run over. Their day didn't start when the bell rung, it started as soon as the first student stepped onto their campus. But it seems like they have a pretty normal school here compared to others.

I have had a child at Lewis for the last 5 years. I'm so glad I made this choice. The teachers care about the kids, it's a wonderful community and family atmosphere. We are going through changes, but I'm certain we'll be able to maintain the same caring, community atmosphere as well as striving for academic excellence for each child.

My son goes to preschool here and loves it! Excellent Curriculum based on christian principals! My son has only been there a month and has learned techniques for dealing with real life situations centered around a Godly perspective. He has learned about stories in the Bible, planets in the solar system, music, art, math reading, writing and much more!
