Read what parents are saying about Topeka High SchoolSchool is bad, the food is trash, very unhealthy, impossible to eat, I and my friend have gotten diarrhea after eating there, I don't like this school, people don't like me, although I'm always trying to be positive to everyone and everything, half of my teachers don't even know what they teaching, a stupid and awful system of education. The worst and most disgusting situation is that the school now has cockroaches. Haha, I don't even know what to think about it all, that's awful. Probably now because of the last situation, I have no choice, but to change my school.

Posted by a community member on 4/9/2019We've had two students coming from private middle school enter Topeka High with great success. These students have to option to go wherever they want because of their academic excellence, and they chose Topeka High. Best theatre department, best debate & forensics department, best vocal department, best art department, greatest diversity, tolerance, & inclusion. There is a place for everyone at Topeka High. My children are being well-prepared for college and life beyond high school. I would recommend this school to anyone and would not want my kids to go anywhere else.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child loves going to school each morning. I have seen so much progress in his learning and behavior. Teachers and staff have communicated so well with me. School events are well organized and announced with enough time to plan ahead. So glad my kiddo attends Scott!Parent Review2mo ago - Williams Science And Fine Arts Magnet School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child attended this school from kindergarten to part of second grade, during my child’s second grade year, I decided to pull him from this school. Each year was worse and worse to the point that I decided to pull my child from Williams. The current principal, Kari Ritter, is not an effective principal and her attitude does not reflect that of a leader. We had a meeting with Kari and other staff due to my concerns about my child while at this school, during the meeting, Kari was snobby, rude, and demeaning. My concerns were not addressed at the meeting and the meeting actually made my child’s school experience worse. Parents, please look at the test scores at Williams, that alone is reason enough to not enroll your child at this school. I encourage parents to find an elementary school that truly cares about academics in addition to your child’s safety and learning environment….My child now attends a different elementary school where he is flourishing academically and he really loves school now.Parent Review1mo ago - Lowman Hill Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLowman Hill is a wonderful school, that is filled with diversity and many opportunities for learning. Topeka Public Schools is providing training for teachers to learn about engaging students in meaningful discussions while they are learning. The Lowman Hill teachers will be implementing this as they return back to school this fall. Everyone loves that Lowman Hill is small enough that many teachers know all of the student's names.Principal Review10mo ago - Randolph Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family has been at Randolph for 38 years. All four of my children and now all five of my grandchildren have attended there. My husband also attended Randolph from1968-1975. We LOVE this school!!! The neighborhood around it has remained an in demand location for people to move to because of Randolph. It has maintained an active parent support group for many, many years. They work very hard to help keep Randolph great. One of the most impressive things I remember them doing is when schools didn’t have a computer lab for the students to work and learn computer skills, our parent organization raised the money to put the first computer lab in our school well before any other school in our district had one. We’ve purchased playground equipment, classroom supplies and teacher needs. We’ve funded educational field trips and basically any need we see. Our teachers are top notch and always have been. Many of them over the years have spent their entire teaching career there. I have been impressed with every teacher my children and grandchildren have had. They have been blessed with some of the best teachers ever!!! We are the oldest active elementary school in Topeka and our alumni come in droves to share their memories when we have had anniversary celebrations in the past. Our most recent one was our 90th and we are approaching 100!!! Alumni drop in constantly to have a look at the place they got their educational start and they love to share their memories with our current students. The Randolph community has always felt like its own small town as the neighbors come to the school for many events throughout the year even once their children have graduated out of elementary school. It is a special place for sure and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.Other Review5mo ago - Whitson Elementary School
