Posted by a parent on 3/6/2023There’s many many engagement activities in and out of school which is great to see in such a large school. Our child loves the teachers and her various classes. The only thing I would change is drop off and pick-up. There are many parents that cut in front of everyone just to drop their child off at the front door, instead of waiting like everyone else. Some parents ignore the crossing guard and just drive instead of stopping. At pick-up, the wait line is very very long (wraps around three sides of the school) and the entire surrounding neighborhood gets very clustered in a short amount of time. There needs to be wider streets or a more organized way for traffic to drive safely. I see a ‘near’ fender bender on a daily basis because parents can’t be patient, as well as in the pick-up lines. (Pulling out in front of another oncoming line)Overall, the elementary school is wonderful. :)
Posted by a parent on 1/9/2023My son loves attending Jardine Elementary. They have unique experiences in and out of their classroom such as STEAM, Art, Robotics Club, Gardening Club, Drama Club, etc. This school provides academic and enrichment opportunities for my child every single day. The teachers and admin always strive for success and what is best for children. We love it here!
Posted by a parent on 11/28/2022Jardine Elementary has been the best experience for my children. They each have different struggles, yet every day when I drop them off I know they are in great hands. Feels good to know that they are safe and loved while I have to go to work. They each have amazing teachers, have for the past 4 years and I could not have asked for a better environment for them. There are amazing clubs like Drama, along with lots of family oriented activities that PTO puts together. I love it here.

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLowman Hill is a wonderful school, that is filled with diversity and many opportunities for learning. Topeka Public Schools is providing training for teachers to learn about engaging students in meaningful discussions while they are learning. The Lowman Hill teachers will be implementing this as they return back to school this fall. Everyone loves that Lowman Hill is small enough that many teachers know all of the student's names.Principal Review10mo ago - Maude Bishop Elementary School

The school provides opportunities for her to grow as a good student of character that follows the pillars of character. She loves having a house/family that she belongs to at school through their character program.Parent Review1y ago - Mceachron Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur family has been at Randolph for 38 years. All four of my children and now all five of my grandchildren have attended there. My husband also attended Randolph from1968-1975. We LOVE this school!!! The neighborhood around it has remained an in demand location for people to move to because of Randolph. It has maintained an active parent support group for many, many years. They work very hard to help keep Randolph great. One of the most impressive things I remember them doing is when schools didn’t have a computer lab for the students to work and learn computer skills, our parent organization raised the money to put the first computer lab in our school well before any other school in our district had one. We’ve purchased playground equipment, classroom supplies and teacher needs. We’ve funded educational field trips and basically any need we see. Our teachers are top notch and always have been. Many of them over the years have spent their entire teaching career there. I have been impressed with every teacher my children and grandchildren have had. They have been blessed with some of the best teachers ever!!! We are the oldest active elementary school in Topeka and our alumni come in droves to share their memories when we have had anniversary celebrations in the past. Our most recent one was our 90th and we are approaching 100!!! Alumni drop in constantly to have a look at the place they got their educational start and they love to share their memories with our current students. The Randolph community has always felt like its own small town as the neighbors come to the school for many events throughout the year even once their children have graduated out of elementary school. It is a special place for sure and I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.Other Review5mo ago - Whitson Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is very welcoming of new families. Given the small classes, parents get to know each other quickly. Academically, the school helps the students advance at a quick pace. If a child is having trouble, the teachers are more than accommodating in helping students be successful. Our transition has been very enjoyable, having students and parents focused on academics will only benefit kids throughout their educational endeavors, along with their careers.Parent Review2y ago
