Pittsburg Middle School

Westside has an amazing group of teachers and support workers who communicate with parents my oldest child struggles behaviorally and while he was attending Westside was able to be removed from his IEP and began doing amazing they have an in house psychologist as well which I believe is a huge advantage to kids who struggle in some situations otherwise. They also have an awesome Speech therapist who my middle son just adored and he made a lot of improvement with his speech while he was working with her. A big shout out and Thank You to all the Staff at this school for striving to do what is best for the kids no matter what the situation.

This district was a huge let down. They are improperly handling their students with special need so. The administrator is a know-it-all who refuses to receive help from qualified professionals just to prove a point. Even if that comes at the expense of the students. If you have a student who doesn't fit into their cookie-cutter mild, I highly advise steering completely clear of this school.
