The teachers and other staff at Eugene Field totally turned my son's school experience around! Two years ago I had to pull my son out of a really negative situation at Garfield Elementary. At second grade he was already at the point of hating school. His second grade teacher told me that he was pretty much a hopeless case! We placed him in Eugene and it turned out to be the best decision we ever made! Two years and two wonderful teachers later he is now thriving and loves school!! The teachers, principal and all the other staff are just so caring about all the students! I really don't think we will ever be able to thank them enough.

Garfield consistently improves each year in test scores and more areas. Teachers are extremely caring and enthusiastic about teaching. We have been in Garfield with two children and the atmosphere and curriculum continue to improve every year! We very much appreciate the principal who came a few years ago from the Blue Valley District. She has great ideas, is great to work with and strives to create a positive and progressive learning atmosphere. This school is moving forward in leaps and bounds!

My son has been attending this school since 1st grade and he is now going into 5th grade. We really enjoy this school, the staff here is so considerate and caring. The counselor is a blessing and give incredible care and understanding to the children. My son has been on an IEP since he started school and all the teachers involved stay well in touch with me and let me know of their concerns and also listen to my concerns and we work really well together as a team to support him the way he needs. I see teachers outside of the school and we always make conversations. The only unfortunate part is that the principal we've had is now moving forward in his career so we will have a change in the school with a new principal but we are excited to see what she brings to the school and community.

The quality of education is superb! The teachers are awesome. All 4 of my kids went thru SHS for a total of 16 years. Well worth the sacrifice it took to send them to this private school. They totally focus on the needs of each childs individual needs. The teacher/child ratio is a indication to the quality of education they receive.

Best school in Ottawa. Has been incredible for both my kids. Could not have chosen a better place for my kids.Their special needs program has been a gift and I could not be happier.
